What a magical, inspiring, fun place!
I haven’t been to Kew since a child, crazy the places you don’t go to, even though they are on your doorstep.
After seeing some fellow mummies mention about this new area that opened last month, I just had to come and check it out.
You need a wristband which you can get from a tent near the entrance to the Children’s garden, it gives you a 90 minute time slot.
An amazing space the size of 40 tennis courts, split into four areas; Water, Air, Sun and Earth. All the things needed for plants to grow.
All these wonderful areas linked to a high canopy walk, wrapped around a 200-year-old oak in the heart of the Children’s Garden.
Water
A beautifully designed area of water pools, stepping stones and a pump with running water
Earth
An awesome sandpit with giant slides (and a small one for the little ones). An area of little houses to spend ages building castles.
Air
This was a very fun area indeed, lots of bouncing… just be careful if you find the hidden hammock.. its pretty easy to fall off haha
Sun
A bright, photo hot spot area of colourful fun.
We all had so much fun, and didn’t get much of a chance to see the rest of Kew.
So, that will be next time.. might have to get a member pass, I feel we will be going a lot, especially with this new area.
Fun for the children and the adults and some learning thrown in, what more could you ask for.
